New Year... New Beginnings!

Well we are extremely grateful for the year that we had last year and are so excited for this year 2014!!! We have a lot of new things going on and are so excited to share them with you!
First off we we are excited to get to be a part of a new shop opening in Reardan WA called The Reardan  Plowboy- Urban Homesteading! Check them out here at http://www.thereardanplowboy.com and also on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/TheReardanPlowboy. The vendors are the Cream of the Crop! Vintage, Antique, Salvaged decor and gifts create the homes of our dreams and we will have this and so many more options available for you! There will also be furniture repair and refinish available! It is a unique blend of outstanding vendors that will carry just about everything your little heart desires and more!! Open Wed- Sat 10- 5:00. We have our grand opening on Feb 28th and March 1st!! We also are very grateful for our Etsy shop! We had a great year first year last year and we are continuing to expand our store all the time! You can find our shop at www.PickinDaisiesLove.Etsy.com.

We are also very busy putting together our show calendar for this year! There are many great shows in our area and we would love to be a part of all of them, but due to time constraints, custom orders, being in two shops, and every day family craziness we have to take a step back and only be vendors in a few this year. We have many friends that run amazing shows and so even if we are not vendors at their shows this year we will continue to support each one of them and help advertise so you  don't ever miss out on any of  these awesome shows! If there is Junk to be had you will know about it!!

The first show this year to kick off our Pickin Daisies Tour is in April! It is The Vintage Faire is down in the Okanogan Fairgrounds in Okanogan Wa. The show is on April 26 and we love this show!!! This will be our third year as vendors but our fourth year going down there and we would not miss this good time!! There are over 50 vendors, antiques, re purposed wares, jewelry, salvage, vintage goods, farm goods and so much more!! It is a must for Junk lovers! So mark your calendars and we will see ya there!!!

There are also many more to come in May and June but you will have to wait till next time to find out where we will be next... In our next update we will post a list of all shows that we know about in our area so you can help plan your Spring and Summer Junkin!!!

A little introduction of how we became Pickin Daisies~

This is a little story about me and how I came to be Pickin Daisies!

I grew up with my Mom having a love of Antiques and being a big collector. When I was little my parents would sell each weekend at the Flea Markets and Swap Meets in Ca. My brother and I were very little so we spent most days sitting under the tables playing while are parents would sell just about anything! We had the opportunity to go to the Olympics and the Goodwill Games selling pins! Pins are a huge business at any Olympics and my parents would make and sell them, so we were able to go and learn the pin Trading world! The pin trading world is very interesting and quite crazy at times! This began my love for buying, selling, and trading!! My parents ran many small businesses and owned a gift shop while growing up so it was only natural for me to go into Retail Management after High School. I worked in Retail for many years before I found the love of Vintage and Junk Restoration!When I finally got my first dig, I was hooked! I love to restore and re purpose anything Vintage and funky! I am drawn to other people’s Junk or what I call Treasure’s!!!

I have a love for anything vintage, rusty, or chippy !I love going Junkin or Pickin! 

We go anywhere and everywhere to find that special piece that has been lost & 

forgotten and we try to bring it back to life~ We love to re purpose our finds into        

something new that you can see as that special treasure you just have to have! We also take down old barns and re purpose all of the wood into new furniture pieces! We do custom orders for windows, door shelves, furniture pieces, hall trees, lighting, and much much more!  My Mom also was so creative and talented that I got some of her craftiness to rub off on me! My husband and partner in crime has been blessed with the carpenter talent! He can build anything and everything, so we make a great team when it comes to this business! I am the dreamer and he is the curator and he can make my crazy ideas and dreams into one of a kind pieces! I am truly blessed to have a partner that not only supports me in my dreams but also walks with me in seeing them become reality! I have a strong Faith in God and I believe he has led me down this path, so now it is time to see where this journey will take us! I named my business Pickin Daisies because I spent most days as a kid picking Daisies and wildflowers in the Fields and Green Belt behind my house. My friends and I use to pick them and then go around our neighborhood to sell them. So now I find it fitting for my new little business! We started doing shows around 5 years ago and then this last year we decided to put our stuff in a shop in Spokane WA called Paint in my Hair. We love this shop and the owners that run this shop are amazing! We have continued  to do many shows thru out the year and also take on custom orders.
